The short version
- Our website uses no cookies, analytics or tracking, and has no advertising.
- If you email us, we use your details only to reply and to discuss working together.
- Our VR tours do not collect any personal information about visitors.
- We do not sell or share your information for marketing.
Information we collect
When you contact us. If you email us or use our contact form (which simply opens your own email program), we receive your name, email address, organisation and whatever you choose to write. We use this to respond to your enquiry and, if you are a museum or heritage organisation, to discuss and arrange a tour or trial.
When you visit the website. Our website does not set cookies or use analytics. Like any website, our hosting provider may keep standard server logs (such as IP addresses, browser type and the pages requested) for a short time to keep the service secure and working. We do not use these logs to identify you.
When someone takes a VR tour. Our tours do not ask for names or contact details, do not need a visitor account, and do not take photos, video or audio recordings of visitors. The headsets are managed by us and are not linked to visitors' own accounts. During a trial we may count how many tours are taken and ask for anonymous feedback, which we share with the host museum in anonymous form.
Our lawful basis
We use your contact information on the basis of our legitimate interests in responding to enquiries and developing our business with museums, and where relevant to take steps at your request before entering into an agreement with you.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry emails for as long as needed to deal with your enquiry and any resulting relationship, and in any case no longer than two years after our last contact, unless we have an agreement with you that requires us to keep records for longer.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your information. We only share it with service providers who help us run our business, such as our email and website hosting providers, who act on our instructions and must keep it secure, or where the law requires us to.
International transfers
Some of our service providers may store information outside the UK. Where they do, we make sure appropriate safeguards are in place as required by UK data protection law.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you have the right to ask for a copy of the information we hold about you, and to ask us to correct, delete or restrict it, or to object to our use of it. To make a request, email [email protected]. If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk), though we would appreciate the chance to put things right first.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version will always be on this page.
